We protect your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021). This policy explains which data we process when you visit our website and when you send us an enquiry.

2. Hosting and provision of the website

Our website is operated on the Shopify platform. The provider for customers in Europe is Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 1–2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, Ireland.

When you visit the website, Shopify processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, page visited, browser and operating system. This data is required to deliver the website securely and reliably.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functional website).
  • Shopify may also process data outside the EU, in particular at its parent company in Canada. An adequacy decision of the European Commission exists for Canada. For other transfers within the Shopify group and to sub-processors, Shopify relies on Binding Corporate Rules and EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We have concluded a data processing agreement (Data Processing Addendum) with Shopify.

3. Cookies and consent

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. We set technically necessary cookies (for example for the security of the site or to store your cookie choices) on the basis of § 165 (3) TKG 2021 and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

All other cookies, for example for statistics, are only set with your consent (§ 165 (3) TKG 2021, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You give your consent via our cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by reopening the cookie settings (link "Cookie settings" in the footer) or by deleting the cookies in your browser.

With your consent, we use Shopify's visitor statistics to understand which pages are viewed. With your consent, we also use Google Ads conversion measurement (see section 6). We do not use any other advertising or tracking services (e.g. Meta Pixel or Google Analytics).

4. Enquiry forms, email and phone

When you contact us via a form on the website, by email or by phone, we process the data you provide. Depending on the form, this includes:

  • Offer a location: company or municipality, contact person, phone, email, address of the location, type of location, approximate number of people, machines of interest, message
  • Catering enquiry: name, company (optional), phone, email, date, location, number of guests, type of event, preferred package, extras, message
  • AI smart fridge enquiry: name, company or municipality, country, VAT ID (for businesses), phone, email, interest, model, number of units, type of location, message
  • Contact form: subject, name, company (optional), phone, email, message

In addition, the form automatically transmits how you reached our website, for example via Google search, an advertisement or a link from another website. This information is only read from the address you opened, is not stored in your browser, and helps us understand which advertising is worthwhile (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Purpose: Processing your enquiry, preparing a quote and, where applicable, performing the contract.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract). For general enquiries without a contractual context, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding).

Disclosure: The forms are transmitted via Shopify and delivered to us by email. Within our company, we forward catering enquiries to office@catering-holzmann.at. Our mailboxes are hosted by easyname GmbH, Canettistraße 5/10, 1100 Vienna, Austria, with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Data is only passed on to other third parties where this is necessary to perform the contract or where we are legally obliged to do so.

Storage period: We delete enquiries that do not lead to an order no later than 12 months after the last communication. If an order is placed, we keep the documents for as long as required by statutory retention obligations (generally 7 years under § 132 BAO).

Providing your data is voluntary. Without contact details, however, we cannot respond to your enquiry.

5. Fonts

The "Inter" font is stored directly on our server or at Shopify. No connection to Google or other font providers is established when the page loads.

6. Google Ads and conversion measurement

We place ads via Google Ads. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Only if you consent to the "Marketing" category in the cookie banner do we load the Google tag and measure whether an enquiry was sent after clicking one of our ads. Google processes technical data such as IP address, browser, time and the ad click identifier and sets cookies for this purpose. Google does not receive the content of your enquiry. We only see aggregated figures, for example how many enquiries came from ads.

  • Legal basis: your consent (§ 165 (3) TKG 2021, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
  • Transfer to the USA: Google may also process data in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists.
  • Storage period: Google Ads cookies are generally deleted after 90 days at the latest.

7. Links to Google Maps, Instagram and Facebook

On the website we link to Google Maps ("Get directions") and to our profiles on Instagram and Facebook. These are simple links, not embedded content. Data is only transferred when you click a link. From then on, the privacy policy of the respective provider (Google Ireland Limited or Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) applies.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. Simply contact office@holzmann-trading.eu.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at.

9. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

10. Changes

We update this privacy policy when our website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
